A: You should have the battery of your i-Geo fully charged before using it for the first time. The sensitivity of the GPS receiver will degrade if the battery cannot provide sufficient power to search for satellites. You can use your car charged to charge the batteries. When using your i-Geo, please ensure that it has a clear and unobstructed view of the sky; otherwise it may not be able to receive signals from satellites at all. Please follow the instructions as below and download our GPS tester from http://www.polstagps.com/download/PCTester1.6.zip.
Step1:
Open your Bluetooth Manager, create a new connection.
Step2:
Then you will see a page for checking Bluetooth equipment, click the first one and go next.
Step3:
PDA/ Smartphone now search any BT device around you and then will recognize Polstar showing in your PDA/ Smartphone straight away.
Step4:
Choose Polstar, and choose SPP slave from your PDA/ Smartphone. Then click finished.
Step5:
Make BT connection from your PDA/ Smartphone. It should link successfully (Blue LED is on now). Watch its connection status, 0 bytes is correct.
Step6: DO NOT close BT connection. Open Polstar test program and select com port (PDA/ Smartphone should create a Com port automatically) and opened. Now you should see some NMEA data is transferred.
Step7:
Go back to your BT Manager; some data has been transferred to your PDA/ Smartphone.
Step8:
It should get fixed after 3 ~ 5 minutes.
Please note that this time try to send password as "0000" as default.
